Welcome

Welcome to the home of Northern California Racing Club (NCRC) and American Racing Club (ARC), providers of California's most affordable quality track events. NCRC is one of the top driver education and open tracking organizations in the state, and ARC is our racing organization, providing a friendly no-contact-allowed racing environment.

NCRC events are friendly with a comfortable, low intensity, adult atmosphere. We require that cars be well-maintained and not "project" cars (in-process builds, missing or damaged body parts, bondo and primer). You'll find safety is our top priority above all. Our customers expect to drive home with their cars in the same condition they arrived with, and our safety and membership policy helps to enforce this philosophy.

News

Do you think our entry fees are too low? We are days away from filing a lawsuit against Thunderhill and quite possibly another track, for what we believe is price fixing, unfair business practices, and violations of anti-trust laws.

Both tracks have requested/mandated/suggested/required that we raise our entry fee; We have refused, hired a lawyer, and will be filing the complaint in the next few days. When the lawsuit is filed, all documents will be available on this web site.

The 2010 season is here! At this point we have posted our schedule for the year. We have also made some changes in services, rules, logistics that you should be aware of when registering and driving with us.

Our new a-la-carte formula of quality low-priced events ($99-$125 per day except for Laguna at $179) has been very well received and much appreciated. Here are some comments from REAL recent customers:

I had plenty of track time and ran in the red GTI in advanced group with no drama or cry babies. I already signed up for the next event so <bleep> won't be seeing me any more unless they run at Sears. See ya August 30th.

Dave & Luc,

Thank you for a great first event and the driving school was very helpful.  As a first time track driver, I felt comfortable the whole time and feel the focus sessions on the track work great.

Look forward to the next event!
Best, Kevin

Thanks to guys putting up a great event. I have never been to a event that was so smooth and so ontime. All my buddy want to thanks you guys again for awsome weekend. We will definitly see you on the next track days.

I'm a licensed serious racer, SCCA, ARC, Vintage events, etc. suffering by the economic down turn as everyone else is so I am very careful where I spend my track budget, “Last year 100% of my track time was with NCRC/ARC, 1000+ track miles. I can highly recommend NCRC/ARC for both beginners and racers.

Driving school was great. The drills were good for learning the track and getting comfortable passing. The flag test lap was also a great test. I think the most confusing part was the flags but after the lessons i had them down.

I have to be honest. This last t hill event was probably the best event I have ever been to. I have been with <bleep> for more than 4 year now and I have to say as far as getting an efficient safe driving environment ncrc is king. Your prices are lower and you get more track time. The lack of downloads for more experienced drivers is also awesome. I just spent 370 on the last <bleep> infineon event and I felt ripped off. There were like 70 cars in group <bleep> and there are so many more crashes. Some drivers are uncomfortable with passing as well. It seems that <bleep> has been going down hill. Well I digress. I had a great time and I plan to run most of my track days with you folks from now on. If we could only move thill 1 hr closer to the bay!

This was the first time I and about 10 friends attended one of your events. Well run and very plesent atmosphere. Most of us were in the open group and there was great courtsey among the drivers and everyone pretty much stayed on track with no down time.

With the economy, low cost is what attracted us, and we received more than we expected.

Hi Dave,

Just wanted to say thanks for the two day at Thunderhill. I must say I'm a very picky guy when it comes to organizations that I drive with. I like clearly defined schedules (with schedules that make sense), anouncements, and schedules that are kept. Without a doubt you guys exceeded my expectations. I look forward to driving with your organization again.

Dave & Luc,

I've driven with several different groups and was a bit nervous about trying "someone new".  I'm not sure how the heck you attract such a great group of drivers with your exceptional pricing. Awesome cars... awesome drivers... ZERO concerns on the track. I've been with groups that are, to say the least, overbearing and they still have drivers that seem to disregard others on track.

Excellent job guys....rave reviews have gone out to my friends.

Regards, Ralph Crowder

on behalf of all the s2000's in attendance (which is a lot) we THANK YOU for having a great set of people behind our organization! all of the people on the track were very courteous and very respectful. some of us will be attending your june 20th even,.but the majority of us WILL be attending your aug thunderhill event. keep up the great work!!! u guys definitely attract a better crowd than some of the other organizations!

Dave: Last Sunday was my first time running with NCRC. I was very pleasantly surprised at attitude of the organization and the skill/care of the NCRC drivers. After having run years with <bleep>, <bleep>, <bleep>, <bleep> and <bleep> events I am really, really, really impressed to have found THE BEST HPDE organization I've ever experienced. I met all sorts of great folks in the paddock between sessions and really enjoyed seeing the variety of machinery that drivers had brought.

I was in the Open class in my VW R32 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! so much fun! I'll be seeing you good folks again soon.

Sincerely, Drew Padilla

Hey Dave,

My daughter and I (and our Doberman) really enjoyed the Buttonwillow event. The best track weekend I've had yet!

I've been doing <bleep> HPDE events, several at both Infineon and Thunderhill. Your format is so much better. Much more relaxed, much more track time, much less trains and traffic, much more time to spend enjoying the paddock instead of sitting in download meetings after every session. Less cost is a bonus too.

I have relayed my experience to some friends that run <bleep> and <bleep>, there's already a buzz about getting in on a NCRC weekend  all together.

Any idea when registration for Laguna Seca will open?

Gary

Hi Dave and Luc,

This was our first time attending an NCRC event (there's a group of 5 or 6 of us and we've been trying to make one for a while).  Let me just start off by saying that we'll be back!  We were all amazed at how punctual the groups were run and that you've managed to attract the "right" people as we had a good time both in the parking lot and on the track.

With luck, I'll see you again in August.

David

it was my first track day, but i thought it was extremely well ran and organized. most car events I go to are never on time with things, but if I recall correctly you guys were ahead of schedule a lot of the day.

I thought the 3 drill / 2 open session schedule gave us plenty of time to learn the track before we were let loose.

im hooked, and look forward to drivingh with you guys in the future.
