Welcome to the Northern California Racing Club (NCRC), one of the top driver education and open tracking organizations in the state.
Looking for a Street School to attend for your very first track day? NCRC has instructed complete novices for five years now, and is well-known for the quality of its instruction programs.
Tired of other clubs treating you like a kid?
At NCRC, we believe that our members are responsible adults and we give them the freedom that they deserve such as:
- Being able to do your own tech on your car:
No need to go through the hassle of having to bring your car to someone else or having to wait in line at a "tech station" the day of the event. - Recognizing that modern cars have been built to high safety standards, therefore we don’t require additional safety equipment for open track driving.
- The most "customer friendly" passing rules in the industry:
Other clubs limit your passing to a few straights with the associated frustration and bottlenecking. With us, passing depends on your driving skills and comfort level; You can have passing from straights only to passing everywhere with point-by, to open passing with no point-by required. - When some other clubs would like you to believe that "their" insurance prohibits any timing equipment in your car, we at NCRC, offer a professional AMB-based, timing system.
NCRC events are friendly with a comfortable, low intensity atmosphere. You’ll find safety is our top priority above all. The membership benefits make it easier to attend more events and do it with your friends/family.
New Instruction Options
Are you a long-time driver who's interested in instructing? We may have a plan for you. Once in a while we end up short on instructors at the track, so we've added a checkbox "Available to Instruct" on the regular driver signup sheet. If you are in the Open or Point-By group, and are registering to drive at the event anyway, you can get $50 off your track day if we need you to help instruct. The determination is made at the track, as it will be a last-minute need.
