As the NCRC Director of Instruction, I'm committed to ensuring you have the best possible experience at our events, specifically when it comes to learning how to handle your car on the track. We try to get all instructor/student pairings aligned ahead of the event, so please note your interested in having a highly qualified instructor work with you on your registration form. Our in car instruction is typically conducted in the Limited Group, with coaching in higher groups available by request and based on instructor availability at the track.
Another
value NCRC adds to driver education is classroom instruction. The
classroom instruction is geared toward novice
participants, and as such is scheduled when these groups are off track. We
ask for 100% novice participation in classroom, and certainly hope
for attendees from other run groups also. The first classroom session is
geared to get you ready to get on track, and the second is geared toward
the multitude of questions that you will have after a session.
Believe me, even the best of us need another pair of eyes on the track if we're to improve. Horsepower and sticky tires only go so far, the real place to get the largest improvement is honing your driving ability. So take advantage of this benefit -- you've paid for it!
Regards, Luc Noel, Director of Instruction
Instructors
Existing NCRC instructors should use this registration form to sign up to instruct at NCRC events.
If you're interested in instructing with NCRC, but are new to us, we'd like to hear from you. We're always looking for well-qualified instructors to join our team. Please fill out this form, or feel free to eMail us. TracQuest instructors have already been added to the NCRC roles, and do not need to apply again.
Reading Material

BMW CCA Golden Gate Chapter, Driving School presentation (pdf or PPT), by Jim Grinstead.
Nor Cal Shelby Club's Thunderhill Track Handbook (pdf) (part of a series of Open Track Handbooks, wonderful write-ups of all the turns, lines and tricks to our local tracks).
