Laguna Seca Event
April 7, 2008
This should be a fantastic spring day at Laguna Seca. We're sharing this Monday event with SpeedVentures, so there will be limited space. Sign up as early as possible please.
This event will be run with separate run groups for different skills of drivers. No racing, this is for learning and having fun, and a safe dose of competition. These events are open to all NCRC club members. So whether you're a beginner or an advanced driver, come join us for a day at the track! If you are a beginner, and expect to have instruction, please make sure to note it during your registration in advance of the track day as it is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Lunch will be provided.
There will be a 92dB limit at the track for this event. It will be measured by two track workers, and you'll get three warnings before getting kicked off the track for sound violation. NCRC and the track workers have no control over this requirement.
Preparation
See our Rules page for a list of NCRC rules, as well as our Laguna Seca page for more specific track configuration and local rules we'll be following for this event. Also note that you are responsible for the condition of you and your car, and should review the guidelines and tech requirements on our logistics page.
Schedule
Instruction
Limited Group drivers will have instruction available at this event if you've signed up for one. There will be a classroom session in the morning, and an instructor riding along in your passenger seat for the day to help build your track skills. You do need to reserve an instructor in advance, which is done by checking the instruction request box when you register for the event.
Registration
We are currently accepting sign-ups for this event on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $320 for members, $10 more per day temporary membership for non-members. This is an early-bird price, that will go up by $35 on March 17th.
No discount offers apply to Laguna events.

Accommodations
Some hotel thoughts are posted at our Laguna Seca page.
Refunds
If you cancel two weeks before the event, we give a full refund. Within two weeks of the event, we credit half of your event payment to a future event, but as of 48 hours before the day the event begins there are NO refunds or credits given. This includes multiple day events, even if your car breaks the morning of day one. We'll feel bad for you since we truly want you to enjoy what you paid for. However, we must cover the costs of the event that are fully committed once the event starts, or there won't be an NCRC in the future. This is a generous policy among track clubs. All NCRC credits are held with us for two years before they expire, so you have plenty of time to use them.
Rain is typically handled by the track itself, not by NCRC. Typical policy is that the track holds the event, rain or shine, unless there is an unsafe condition or damage at the track. If the event is cancelled due to rain, NCRC will refund whatever portion of the total costs we can recoup.
