Our Pricing and Philosophy

You are lucky to have many year-round tracks and good clubs that put on safe and fun track events. There are many opportunities to spend your track dollars, and we appreciate your business. We thought that you'd like to know what you can expect if you come to one of our events, and what makes it possible to lower our event fee so drastically.

Our Promise to You

We will put on the best events we can, from the moment you register, through instruction on the track, to the driving experience. We will be completely open and honest in our marketing, our communication and our pricing, and will deliver the most cost-effective track days possible. If you aren't completely satisfied after your first session on the track*, let us know and we will refund your event cost.

* Guarantee does not apply to weather or other acts of God.

Driver Responsibility

Beside low cost, what makes your club different from any other club?

Luc: Driver attitude is primary. We insist on personal responsibility as a key trait of our drivers. Our events are in such demand that we can afford to turn down customers that do not fit this philosophy of personal responsibility. We trust drivers to tech their own cars. We apply specific rules (including proprietary mandatory passing flag to avoid the "slow point-by syndrome" and not mixing passing rules within a group) to ensure a smooth non-aggressive track experience. We are the only multi-marque open track club in Northern California that covers the full range of on-track experience from novice to racing.

A la Carte Pricing

Where's the catch? How can your events be almost 50% cheaper than your nearest competitors?

Luc: Very simple. Between our very attractive pricing, quality service, and satisfied customers, we have no problem filling up our events. We work on a much smaller profit margin and we focus exclusively on on-track activities (no catered lunch, t-shirts or other frou-frou with us).

So you put on "bare bones" events with no amenities?

Luc: Not really. We price a-la-carte for those things that cost us real money and may not be needed by every driver. In the event cost, we include the amenities that the majority of track drivers expect. For example, buildings, snack bar and bathrooms are open, a photographer is present, and full Timing and Scoring is available.

Is towing included in the event fee?

Luc: Yes we include towing at no charge to drivers. The only exception is if the tow was due to running out of gas, in which case we charge the driver $50.

With those prices you must have a lot or "economically challenged" cars and drivers

Dave: You don't get rich by throwing money out of the window. While we require a picture of you car (if a driver doesn't care for his car, chances are that he will care even less for someone else's car), we are not an elitist club. We have a huge variety of cars, from Fieros to Ferraris. As for our drivers, they all have two things in common: a passion for the hobby and an understanding of value for money. If your idea of a good day at the track is munching on finger food while arguing the pro and con of Napa vs. Connolly leather for your track car seat, we suggest that you spend your track money somewhere else.

Open Track and Time Trials

Do you offer time trials?

Dave: Yes, it's a free option when you register. You can enter our Time Trial Challenge as long as you're not in our Driving School group.

Driving School/Instruction

Why do you have a driving school instead of personal instruction for novices?

Dave: The main goal of the driving school is to teach the novices all the basic skills that they need to be safe (for themselves and others) on a race track. Things such as flags, passing, being courteous to other drivers, etc. Instructors can't do it for them and we also believe that to really enjoy all the benefits that only one-on-one instruction can bring, you must already have learned all the basic skills. No point trying to teach trail-braking, weight transfer or throttle steer to a driver that doesn't know the meaning of the flags or how to make a safe pass.

Other clubs have free instructors, why don't you?

Dave: There is no such thing as a free lunch. "Free" instructors add a significant cost to an event, which is passed along in the form of a higher entry fee for everyone. Drivers that neither want nor require instructors are in fact subsidizing the drivers that do need instructors. Not only do we believe that is is unfair but it also lowers the instructor "value". With us, if you want all day, one-on-one instruction you must pay for the instructor's time at the track.

Safety and My Car

I heard that to run a low-cost event, you must cut corners on safety, pack the groups with too many cars and not offer a lot of track time

Luc: That couldn't be farther from he truth. We have all the required safety such as ambulance, professional corner-workers, fire-truck, tow-truck, grid control, etc. We have four run groups with, depending on drivers skills, passing rules and track length, between 25 to 35 cars per group and each group get a minimum of five sessions of 20/25 minutes each.

I would love to come to one of your events but I worry about my car being damaged

Luc: Open-tracking is a dangerous hobby and things can go wrong, it's very rare but it does happen. As a club we do everything possible to make our events as safe that they can be and that includes a very strict set of rules that all drivers must follow.
