Instructor Registration

Existing NCRC instructors are encouraged to sign up early to instruct at our events. In return, you'll get first shot at the date, and a free drive in the advanced group for that day.

New prospective instructors should fill out the form on the instruction page to apply for instructor status with NCRC.

GENERAL: This is a non-competitive, open track event. All drivers as well as guests must sign waivers at the track. Drivers must read, understand, and adhere to all event guidelines. There may be driving instruction available. All drivers and passengers must be 18 years or older and must wear a cotton shirt with sleeves, long pants, and closed shoes. If two drivers wish to share a car, they must both be NCRC members. The only exceptions will be for a spouse or mechanic to take a session or two from the primary driver, in the same run group, so please designate the run group level of the least experienced driver. No one under 16 is permitted in the Hot Pit area or on the track. Helmets must have Snell rating SA2000 or newer. All open cars are strongly encouraged to have a four-point roll bar, or minimally hoops behind the seats. All cars require at least factory seat belts. It is your responsibility to make sure that your family, crew and guests understand and follow all event rules! If you have questions, contact Dave Mills (dave@ncracing.org) or check http://www.ncracing.org/

Events

Please note that we take your instructor registration as a commitment. If you register to instruct at an event, then determine that you cannot attend, we expect you to let us know promptly so we don't run into issues at the track. Instructors dropping at the last minute, or no-shows at events will quickly drop to the bottom of our priority list.

I am interested in instructing for the following events (please check at least one, so we know which dates you're available):

March 29-30, 2008 Thunderhill
April 7, 2008 Laguna Seca (due to driver count restrictions at Laguna, for this event we are charging instructors half price to attend this event. Please register here and Dave will let you know if you are "in" before paying)
April 19-20, 2008 Buttonwillow
June 21-22, 2008 Thunderhill
July 18, 2008 Thunderhill
Sept 13-14, 2008 Reno-Fernley
Sept 26, 2008 Thunderhill (no instructors needed)

In order to create a larger pool of qualified instructors, we will be rotating between a large number of instructors and may restrict the number of events any instructor attends. Priority will be given to those instructors who will race during ARC race weekends, and can instruct at four events in the year, followed by those with good attendance records, and lastly to those who have been no-shows or had other issues.
